You'll learn easy, practical gardening, common sense design, soil management, & fertility for your personal garden experience. How to reduce inputs and increase harvests...Learn to cultivate a place where you begin to see with the eyes of a person at home in nature.

Earth & Design, Grounding 

  • Learn simple design techniques and principles that make gardens generative habitats. Design for access.

  • Determine your goals? How much time do you have to garden? How can you succeed now and grow into the future?

  • Bring your questions and a drawing of your garden space you can work with...

  • Learn what you need to start and grow your own garden

Growing Abundant Gardens

  • Compost: You'll learn the simple, No-Turn BOCA method and other composting strategies

  • Fertility: is all about teaming with microbes 

  • Propagation: seeds, division, cuttings, how to make more plants!

  • Learn simple methods to grow herbs, vegetables, flowers, berries, fruits and mushrooms using an integrated hands-on process

Growing Up in Generative Gardens

  • Pruning: Trees, shrubs & berries

  • Coppicing & pollarding: Willows, hawthorns & more

  • Creating boundaries: Hedging, dead-hedging, fences

  • Vines: Weaving garden layers together in 3 dimensions

Making Herbal Medicine: You'll learn to create herbal preparations for home use right from the garden...

Water-based preparations

  • Harvesting and preparing herbs for water-based preparations: nourishing herbal infusions, teas, decoctions, extracts, vinegars, tinctures, baths...


Oil based preparations

  • Harvesting & preparing herbs for oil-based preparations: herb infused oils & fats, salves, creams, lotions, massage oil, enfleurage

Odd lots & interesting bits 

  • Pills, elixirs, honeys, electuaries, gob-stoppers

  • Hands-on first aid 

  • Topical application of herbal remedies prepared the first 2 days...

These handmade preparations from nature are used for daily health, first aid, acute or chronic situations, bath and beauty. 

After this long-weekend...your life will be forever changed! You can do this with your own heart & hands at home! 

A supply list will be sent upon registration for materials to bring if you'd like to make and take herbal preparations. Fresh herbs are included in registration fee.

Join EagleSong for a full weekend of hands-on food creation leading to a sumptuous feast on Sunday afternoon! A deep dive into food from around the world without dietary dictates.


Bring 2 heads of cabbage and 1 wide-mouth quart canning jar and you'll turn cabbage into sauerkraut to take home at the end of camp.


Please Note: This weekend is best suited for intrepid food explorers and anyone wanting a life closer with earth and filled with culture...and fun!
